We believe in health tests. We test what we think is necessary but do not say with a good outcome "our dogs will never develop this or that disease". Inheritent diseases are not just 1+1 = 2.

Heart: When T@g is a bit older we will do an enzym test, called NT-proBNP. Even without any problems or symptoms this is a good indication if the heart is working harder then it should. A heart that needs to work "to hard" in a normal situation will produce more of that particulair enzym all the time and that can be messured in blood work. The test needs lab work so you need to have a few days patience for the results. Results will be put below. To understand the outcome please check your vet, ask us or do a check online.

DNA: In October 2023 we Embark tested T@g, results are below.
Of course it is great when your dog tested free on all Embark tests for, but this tests are not a 100% guarantee that a tested dog will not get one of the diseases they test for. It does say us that at this moment the dog has no mutations in his/hers DNA that they can test for, so is not particulair at a high(er) risk. Genetics are a very difficult thing to understand. I explained on Craft her Heart page (click here) a little about it. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
